Of course, most decks can’t make value from this, but you will absolutely love it if you can. Dredge fell out of popularity since the introduction of Endurance from Modern Horizons 2 but stays a decent option if you want to attack the metagame with a different approach. It has a rogue-like element to it because few players are expecting it, though most have been scarred enough over the years to be packing some form of hate for it. Still, I am mentioning it for Rat Colony, Relentless Rats, and Shadowborn Apostle because you can now suddenly get back a huge pile of your graveyard and usually be able to put them back into play for minimal mana. Dredge can be a very fun list and teach some valuable lessons about keeping track of triggers and battlefield management. Now usually, this wouldn’t be able to do much in Commander. For example, if a land becomes a creature while Dress Down is on the battlefield, it will still gain any abilities given to it by the effect that animated it. So now we have a new card in that cycle, which lets you grab all creatures in your graveyard with the same name and put them all back into your hand. If an effect grants a creature an ability after Dress Down has entered the battlefield, it wont lose that ability. Back in Darksteel, there was this pretty darn awesome cycle of cards called the Echoing cycle they did an effect that targeted a certain permanent type but hit every single card with the same name. Dredge is primarily a combo deck that is built around using the dredge mechanic to create an overwhelming amount of free card advantage.
